EMOTIONAL PROCESSING

Emotions shape everyday choices, relationships, and even today’s polarizing public debates, yet most of us don’t fully understand them. In this interactive training we’ll look at what emotions are, why we sometimes struggle to move past, and learn how we can do better. You’ll practise recognising and naming your emotions —even the tough ones— and learn how to work with them instead of against them. Finally, we teach you how to give feedback and communicate your emotions in a constructive way.

OUTLINE

In the training, we will explore why emotions exist, how they work and how you can let them improve your lives:

  • Emotions: what, how and why?
  • How do we often deal with emotions?
  • How can we improve our relationship with emotions?
  • Trauma: what if emotions are too big?
  • What will you change?

WHY PROCESSING YOUR EMOTIONS?

Emotions color and steer our lives, as they are a strong driver of our daily behaviours and choices. Some emotions we find easy to process, others we find particularly hard. Apart from that, many of us don't have a clear idea on what emotions really are and what their functionality is. In this training, you'll learn the why and what about emotions, and start practicing with some of them you find hardest. This training is for people who are ready to grow in this field, and who have learned to understand the limitations of rational and/or behavioral approaches to improve their state of being.

RESULTS

After the training, you will have a better understanding of what emotions really are, and how we can deal with them in the best way. Particularly, you've gained insight in which emotions you typically find hard, how you tend to deal with them, and what is an improved way forward.
